Happy Father's Day to all dads!  DAY 6 I am devoting to fathers.  We have a loving Heavenly Father who we can go to, with access to His throne room through the blood of His son, Jesus!  Christ paid the price that opens the door!  When Jesus hung on the cross and proclaimed, "It is finished", the veil of the temple was torn from top to bottom allowing us to enter into the presence of God and ask what we will of Him.

Perhaps it is easy for me to understand a relationship with my Heavenly Father, because I was blessed to have such a wonderful earthly Dad.  He was stern...could even be called strict--but I always knew I was loved and felt protected and safe when he was nearby.  I wanted to please him and did not want to disappoint him.  I knew I could always go to him with any problem and he would do anything within his power to help me.

Understanding that my Heavenly Father loves me with an even deeper love, it is wonderful to know that He has the power to work all things for my good and that if He is for me, no one can be against me.

In His infinite wisdom, he has set into place the family, with the man, the Father, the head of the house.  The enemy, (Satan), has worked diligently to undermine the role of the dad in the house.  The family unit has been and still is under attack on every side.  Culturally, sexually, spiritually, emotionally, and economically the man has been assaulted in an effort to destroy the family model set into place by God.

Dad's, you have the God-given responsibility to lead your family into a walk with God.  There is nothing greater for a father to do than to let his child  see him humbling himself before God.  Weeping tears of repentance at an altar shows strength and true courage in the face of this "politically correct" and perverse generation.

Because of the order that was established by God from the beginning...a godly man will bring blessings and fulfillment of every promise contained in Scriptures for his family, and succeeding generations.

Will talk more about this in the days to come...with illustrations from God's Word.  Just wanted to be sure to say:  HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!  So thankful for the fathers who stand on the promises of God's Word as they lead their families  through difficult days ahead.
