Day Two: Following through Scripture the promises of God for our families:
Genesis 6:8 and 7:1 "But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord."
"And the Lord said unto Noah, 'Come thou and all thy house into the ark, for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation."
What a powerful lesson here of how living right before God causes our entire household to find shelter and deliverance from destruction. Noah's "house" was his wife, sons and daughters-in-law..
That was his entire family. His obedience to and faith in God brought salvation to his family. This is a thread that weaves throughout Biblical history and continues today. When God sets a principle into place, it doesn't change. His character demands that. What a blessing to know that you and I are key players in the lives of our children...and even future generations. God is no respector of persons. What he did for Noah, he will do for us as we follow His direction throughout His Word. How blessed we are.
Stand strong today on the knowledge that our great God is the same today as in Noah's day. Your family will come into the "Ark of Safety", (the provision of salvation through the blood of Christ), as we pray and live a testimony before them of righteousness. Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. How thankful I am that God's grace and mercy are new every morning and my "house" will be saved!
